James Gore-Langton

James has been with Slade and Cooper for over 20 years and has been a partner in the firm since 2002. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds the Diploma in Charity Accounting. James has wide experience and knowledge in charity and not-for-profit accounting, as well as their legal structures and tax issues.

James is chair of the Charity Practitioners Forum, which is an association of accountants specialising in charities and not-for-profit organisations. It aims to share knowledge, develop best practice and provide training on charity accounting and related issues.

James is a trustee and chair of a local charity that provides outdoor activities for vulnerable adults and families who have children with additional needs. He also works as a volunteer with a number of charities.

I live in a rural location close to the Pennines, with my wife Julie, says James. My main interest outside work and family is my Buddhist practice which I have been following for many years. I also very much enjoy hill-walking, and vegetarian cookery, preferably using our home-grown vegetables.
